At lunchtime if you go out for something to eat walk to go get it, try and find new places every day that are further away than the last.
If you take lunch from home find a nearby park to walk to and eat your lunch at.

Off to the shops to pick up milk, bread and a newspaper?
Leave the car at home and walk or cycle down to the local milk bar or supermarket. If you need a bit of extra motivation or to make the trip more enjoyable take the kids or the dog with you.

If you need to talk to a work colleague get up and walk to their office instead of sending an e-mail or using the phone. Moving about and getting away from the desk for just 5 minutes can also help you to relax and ease stress.
